Four ways to make a difference

Sponsor a student, run with us at Race 4 Daraja, start a Daraja Club at your school, or give in a way that fits your life. Every path leads to the same place: a girl in a classroom.

SPONSOR A GIRL

Every dollar funds tuition, housing, meals, and mentorship 100%, every month

Daraja is a boarding school where all of the girls’ academic, health, and welfare needs are taken care of. As a student sponsor, you will receive a letter 3 times a year from your student to see how your student is growing and changing at Daraja.

Because Daraja students come from homes of trauma, sponsorship allows students access to two Daraja alumni who work full-time as trained counselors to support them emotionally on this life-changing journey.

$250 per month not only pays for the answer to a girl’s biggest prayer, but it also changes her life on a generational level. 90% of Daraja girls go on to college or university. They often choose to support their family afterward and cover the costs of educating younger siblings.

A Daraja sponsorship covers

three healthy meals a day

Other Ways to Give

SPONSOR A GIRL MONTHLY

SPONSOR A GIRL MONTHLY

$250 a month covers one girl’s tuition, housing, meals, uniforms and counseling, and brings you a letter from her three times a year.

CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS

Charitable Distributions

If you are 70 and a half or older with a traditional IRA, a Qualified Charitable Distribution goes straight to Daraja, meets your required minimum distribution, and stays out of your taxable income.

SPECIAL OCCASION GIFTS

Special Occasion Gifts

Ask for donations instead of gifts at a birthday, wedding or anniversary, and introduce the people you love to the girls of Daraja.

Right now, 4 in 10 girls in rural Kenya won’t finish secondary school.
