How to Sponsor a Daraja Girl
$250 a month or $3,000 a year
Daraja is a boarding school where all of the girls’ academic, health, and welfare needs are taken care of. This works out to be $250 a month or $3,000 a year.
As a student sponsor, you will receive a letter 3 times a year from your student to see how your student is growing and changing at Daraja.
$250 per month not only pays for the answer to a girl’s biggest prayer, but it also changes her life on a generational level.
90% of Daraja girls go on to college or university. They often choose to support their family afterward and cover the costs of educating younger siblings.
Essentially, a Daraja sponsorship equals a diploma or degree as well as the priceless opportunity to lift an entire family out of generational poverty.
Emotional Support
And because Daraja students come from homes of trauma, sponsorship allows students access to two Daraja alumni who work full-time as trained counselors to support them emotionally on this life-changing journey.
