Corruption in Kenya and Solutions

Corruption is really pulling Kenya’s economy backwards. Although effective measures such as the anti-corruption agency has been put in place, it seems that they are not doing anything. Some people in the government are filling their pockets and banks with money meant to improve the livelihood of people. These days, if someone wants a job, he/she has to pay some amount so that they can be given a job. What work is the government doing if no measurement is taken? Others claim to help end corruption yet they want votes from people to fill themselves.
First of all, people in the government should make sure that money set aside for development does its job. The greedy ones should be identified, and instead of giving them bail, they should be put in prison for many years, so as to serve as an example to other people. Also, police officers who ask for bribes from drivers and other road users should be sacked. If they continue with their vice many drivers will continue to cause accident which is really affecting us. Many people die just because of a small thing that could have been avoided.
Robbery is increasing at a very high rate. The robbers are asked to pay a small fine and then they are released, causing more harm to people. Police officers receive bribes from these people, giving the robbers the syk to do more harm since they know that nothing can be done to them. If only we could be honest with each other and do our rightful service for our nation, we would have not been experiencing the harshness of corruption.
Finding corruption starts with you and me, then others can follow our example. We should not wait for the government to do anything since they have not yet seemed to have accomplished anything. We also need to hold campaigns and educate people of the bad effects of corruption. Together, we can end corruption in our country.
