Ready For The Future
A Form 4 celebrating right after completing the KCSE.
Earlier in April, the Daraja Form 4s finished their KCSE. For Kenyan students, this examination is the entrance to university. Exam results were released yesterday! Drumroll, please!
Congratulations to the hardworking and committed Form 4’s! Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our Form 4s scored the highest mean score on the Kenyan national exams in Daraja Academy’s history. Even the District Educational Officer was celebrating!
For context, Daraja had a mean score of 81.5 – the highest-scoring school in Kenya had a mean score of 87. We are so proud of the girls and grateful to the teachers and mentors that buoy the girls.
What does this mean? It means that each Form 4 is eligible for university and college. It means that for each of the girls, dreams are becoming a reality. It means that for each of the girls, a life of independence and opportunity is within reach. It means that for each of these girls, their finest hour is yet to come.
Asante Sana – your steadfast support of Daraja makes dreams come true.
Take a look at this video of the girls and teachers celebrating on campus – and you will see and hear the sounds of pride and joy.
