The Cry of a Woman

God created a woman to be a helper to a man in their efforts of making God’s creation beautiful. The fact that a woman was created after a man does not make her subordinate to the man. Women have been experiencing several problems since the world was created.
A woman suffers double standards. This means that whenever a woman becomes successful no one sees the roots of her success as hard work. You will listen to people say “she slept her way to the top. “ This is not only the case. When a woman gets angry, she is accused of having a pre-menstruation syndrome. Does this mean that women have no space to express their feelings?
Women suffer from unequal pay. In one company, a woman who has the same education qualities as a man is paid less than the man. If you carry out keen research you will find out that the woman works more than the man. This is not fair at all.
Women are subjected to oppression and gender stereotypes. In most cases, girls and women are sexually harassed while in rare cases, boys are harassed. This act talks to us that women are really oppressed. Women are stereotyped to be weak creatures but no one ever remembers the labor pain they go through while in the maternity. Women are viewed as sexual satisfying creatures, no one sees that a woman can make a change in the world. Women are even condemned for their dressing codes in the name of trying to please a man or make a man be sexually attracted to her.
God did not make a mistake of creating a womb in me. Everything God created was perfect. He created a womb in me because he knew for the world to change it depends on me and my generation. Oppressing women is archaic. It’s time to listen to the cry of a woman for our community to change. No one begged to God to be created a man or a woman. Womanhood is my strength. Don’t let me hate myself because I am a woman.
