Our Mother Nature

What is the environment? This is the question we should ask ourselves every time before we do any harmful thing to the environment. Environment is the surrounding of a living organism.
The environment provides us with so many wonderful things like trees, birds, wild animals like lions and zebras, and so many other things. My question is — do we really take care of our Mother Nature?
If we did, then we would have lots of rain every month, and plenty of food for our people. Today, in the northern parts of Kenya, many people are dying due to hunger, because of lack of protecting our Mother Nature.
Our Mother Nature provides us with trees. The trees act as water-catchment areas, and lead to heavy rainfalls. With rain, plants grow well. When we have plenty of water, we should try to conserve it to helps us during dry seasons. We can store the water in dams, or tanks for future use.
Let us not cut trees for the purpose of burning charcoal, and then start complaining that God has forgotten us. It is our responsibility to take care of the environment because it has immediate effect on us.
