The cries of the youths of Kenya goes unnoticed and ignored worse of all is that, the corruption praise is a huge menace to tomorrows generation and to the future leaders of this country. The character trait we adopt are from our role models who are mostly our political leaders, so what will our tomorrow be like if we see our leaders bribing for a vote? They make empty promises, especially creating employment for the youth but when they get the majority vote and win they forget about us. The reason why our youth resort to drugs, alcohol and stealing especially in being cities such as Nairobi.
The police department are doing a commendable job but the investigations does shoddy job because most of the people convicted are not even declared innocent until proven guilty. I believe more training and the right systems, Kenya will be at a better place right now.
The position of the youth in the society has completely changed, they are exposed to archaic behavior which is poisonous to the future of this country. Look at the dangerous cultures that still goes on especially in the rural parts of the country, young women are supposed to be fought for by the leaders to ban cultures such as FGM, which usually goes unnoticed because of the way our systems and constitution works. Sometimes corrupt leaders allow this to go on within their territory because of corruption and that primitive mentality.
The place we are in as a country; it is about time to start choosing leaders with so much care and carefully analyze our expectations as youths and exactly what kind of leaders will make the changes we need. The sooner we start choosing young people to lead us the better for this nation.
