Electronic donations:

Daraja Education Fund provides an electronic receipt at the time of the donation, and mails an acknowledgement letter to the address provided or most recent address on file. Both the receipt you see onscreen at the completion of the donation process and the e-mail you receive shortly thereafter meet all IRS requirements as a record of donation. If you are asked to provide a paper receipt for IRS purposes, please print out a copy of your email receipt, or file the paper acknowledgement upon recipt.

Checks:

Daraja Education Fund disperses a paper acknowledgement for IRS purposes upon receipt of your check. The letter is mailed to the address provided either on the check or included correspondence. If neither is provided, a letter is mailed to the last known address DEF has on file for you.
