Food Shortage in Kenya

By  Broline O. (Form 1)

Features

Due to a shortage of food in Kenya, many people are dying This includes many of the professional people who had hope for the world. Furthermore, it has been seen that Kenyan youths lose job opportunities due to a lack of enough energy to do the work, which mostly comes from a lack of food. Drought and famine have mostly destroyed the eastern and western parts of Kenya, because when seasons of rain approached, all the farmers of Kenya plant their crops. After a heavy rain, sometimes it floods and runs away with the planted crops.

Besides that, droughts may come, and a prolonged drought will dry up the Kenyan crops. Many people lack money to run their businesses or take their children to school. Many people destroy their lives in doing jobs that could not help them, such as prostitution, theft, and engaging in other work, like extracting gold. They are not safe under the ground, and most lose their lives.

Lack of enough infrastructure to go to school means many people do not attempt even early childhood development class, and this increases poverty in Kenya. Some of the Kenyan youth are such hardworking people who can change the world; they need help to make them achieve their goals. When they find help, suddenly they will change their country and be as good as other countries. As many defend together and form one thing, I know Kenya will change and be the first country among all.
