“Life” By Florence (Form 4)

Life is full of twists and turns, making us expect one thing and surprising us with another. Life is a riddle: attempt to solve it. Life is doing good to those whose joy is to hurt you. Life is the gift for us to celebrate how far in life we have come, and the present of the mountains we have successfully climbed, reaching the frozen-ice peaks. Life is a meal to be shared and a story to be narrated to each other — like the sons of the African Gentlemen did, seated around a fire in the cold, sullen night, with everyone’s dream, even the unborn, fixed on fighting for the eagerly-awaited independence: the bull that needed to be taken by its horn.

There are different journeys that human beings make in life. Sometimes it takes a strong heart to learn from them. Life passing each day brings to pass many things. Experiences we encounter in life only makes us courageous to forge ahead and stand upon the solid-rock dished to us by the giant shoulders of the people, people and people we meet. I believe that the best way to learn and be happy in life is by identifying and showering with gratitude those around us.

The long-term potential of life is not being great, but making someone great in your sight. You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough people get what they want in life. Life is about melting the fear occupying the brave and courageous hearts that have not seen potential in living fearless life. Life is making one acquire potential and introducing him or her to explore the resources that our rich Kenya can provide. It is about making an impact in the life of others and not about making an income.

Life is about fulfilling that which you were created for. Life is full of happiness for those who identify the importance of making friends, appreciating their little efforts, acknowledging their wrongs, and fighting for the trust which makes the friendship last. Life is indeed a journey, a gift from God, a session with a reason of cultivating love and life as God-created allies. Life is about meeting the plans that God has put on your way. Life is seeing any situation with an optimistic eye. Life is about living one’s last chapter. It is putting to fulfillment that which the society has declared unachievable by you.

Life is the blessing that only a few have received despite the fact that it has been brought on each man’s way on a silver platter. Life is full of pleasure for those who those who bury the spirit of loneliness and do not keep dully to themselves. Life is full of tragedies for those who make their self image in another person’s mirror. Life is about fighting the devil who can render us helpless and hopeless. Life is the chain of curses that only the faithful hearts can break. Life is about manifesting our manifestations in the greatest way possible.

Life needs to be sowed. Life needs to be cultivated. Life needs to be weeded. Life needs dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Life needs a strong heart generated from both celebrating thorns having roses and tolerating roses having thorns.

Above all, life is living one’s chapter. Life is doing something worth writing or writing something worth reading. Life is about making a life-changing mistake that people won’t tolerate, but will  celebrate as the most incredible mistake ever done.
