The Future of Daraja

As small as it is, I think Daraja is the greatest thing I have seen. Everything I have gotten from here translates to the world Daraja: bridge. All the skills and knowledge aimed at creating a future for me lead me to one question, Who is creating a future for Daraja?

I think Daraja is creating a future for itself. It may have only begun with less than thirty girl but now I think that it is thirty times greater than that. I am a believer of many things, but there is one thing I believe in more than anything else — the cycle of life. Everything we do translates to another which is even better. The thirty candles Daraja lights every year are slowly lighting the world.

From Busia to the Coast, Moyale to Kajiado, we find the lights that Daraja has lit. Very soon, the world will take note of what Daraja has done. Very soon, the world will see that the girl child has more strength. That is what Daraja is doing.

Daraja may not shout to be known, but the whispers of it will translate to the voice of many girls in the world — not only Kenya. I think the future of Daraja is greater and brighter. I believe in Daraja.
